The Message and the Easy to Read (ERV) translation

New American Standard Bible (NASB)

If you already have a copy of BibleScope, then you can purchase the NASB translation directly from within BibleScope 3.0 for $14.99. Then you can purchase the NASB from within your copy of BibleScope.

English Standard Version (ESV)

If you already have a copy of BibleScope, then you can purchase the ESV translation directly from within BibleScope 3.0 for $15.99. Then you can purchase the ESV from within your copy of BibleScope.

New International Version (NIV)

New users to BibleScope

A version of BibleScope that includes the NIV is now available! This version includes all the regular features of BibleScope, and includes the New International Version (NIV), Today's New International Version (TNIV), and the New International Reader's Version (NIrV). It also includes the Message and the ERV translations to complete the package. This costs $29.99 in the app store, which you can buy by clicking the button at the top of this page. It is only available for users in the USA and Canada.

Existing BibleScope owners

If you already have an existing copy of BibleScope the NIV is also available as a separate download for purchase from within BibleScope 3.0 for $19.99. This pack includes the New International Version (NIV), Today's New International Version (TNIV), and the New International Reader's Version (NIrV). The NIV Family pack is only licensed for use in the USA and Canada.

Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

If you already have a copy of BibleScope, then you can purchase the HCSB translation directly from within BibleScope 3.0 for $14.99. ESV, NASB, NIV, and HCSB Purchase Instructions

The ESV, NASB, NIV, and PDT purchases are now made from within BibleScope 3.0. Your iTunes account is used to make the purchase simple. If you have previously purchased from my website there, then you can still enter in your code that you were previously emailed to get access to the purchased translations. But all future translations will be purchased from within BibleScope instead of on this website.

Download or Display Issues

First thing to try if you have problems with a download

If you have problems downloading, try to do a hard restart on the iPhone by holding down the Power button for about 5 seconds, then slide the red button to shutdown. Now restart the device and then BibleScope, and make sure you are connected to a Wi-Fi or 3G connection when you download the translation.

Device freezes

If the iPhone freezes or has some problem with the download, try restarting BibleScope and try again with the download.

NIV long download

If you are trying to download the NIV, it is possible that 1 or 2 of the translations downloaded correctly, so try restarting BibleScope again and try the download again. The NIV actually contains 3 translations so it can take longer to download.

Blank translations

If it turns out the translation you recently downloaded seems to display blank text, go into the Bible selection screen again, press the Edit button at the top right, then press the little red button next to the translation you want to use and press Delete. Now to make sure your device has enough memory to complete the download, hold down the Power button for about 5 seconds until you see the Red slider. Slide it to shutdown, then restart the device. Make sure you are connected to Wifi or 3G (preferably Wifi) and go into BibleScope and try the download again.
